March 16 – 22

This week, I finished the rough animation for the entire film. Some shots were much more complicated and time-consuming than I expected, so I will start with them for the cleanup. Specifically shot 10/11, picking up the hare and animating the goopy stretchy bit. Keeping the amount of detail I added to the hare will be very time-consuming, but it isn’t animated for too many shots, and I think it is doable. I also spent a lot of time on shots from scene 5, which I definitely want to get started on soon.

My goals for next week are to finish all the cleanup and start sending off some scenes to Nai’a or Denise for colour. Then I can also work on colour myself when I am done with the cleanup, hoping all colour will be done by the end of week 12 (by April 5) and then I can have some time for a little compositing as well as working on title, credits, and I still need to finish a few backgrounds.

I also received this background from Denise with all the requested changes (after being shown previous drafts). This background is for shot 12 and will feature the tomato melting in the foreground.
